Duels and stances
Rush, Pierce, Guard - who beats whom
A duel is a one-on-one fight with a specific player. Your arena team fights, and the outcome depends not only on stats but also on the stance you chose in secret from your opponent.
What a duel gives
Nothing but the win. No trophies, no shards, no quests - you fight for the fun of it. All that’s left is the score and the top duelists in that chat. On the other hand, a duel doesn’t touch your arena cooldown.
How to challenge
In a group with the bot, reply to your opponent’s message with . In the app - long-tap a message in the global chat and choose “Challenge to a duel”, or use the “Duel” tile in a player’s profile. If your opponent doesn’t play yet, the bot will send them an invitation, and when they join the game, it will say in the chat that you can challenge them again.
In the bot - as a reply to your opponent's message, in a group
Both you and your opponent need a team of at least two cards. There are five minutes to respond, and the next challenge can come no sooner than a minute later.
Stances
Before the fight both players choose a stance in secret. The stances beat each other in a circle, like rock, paper, scissors.
STANCE - EFFECT
In the end the winning stance hits 15% harder than the opponent - that’s not a separate bonus, but the difference between the effects themselves. Same stances - nobody gets an edge.
How the fight goes
The blows are simultaneous: each round both hit for half to full attack after stances. The fight goes on until someone runs out of health; whoever has more left wins. If both fall, the one who went less far below zero wins.
How to read your opponent
- Someone who always pushes damage breaks against Guard.
- Someone who likes to sit back on defense gets punished by Pierce.
- The game hints at your opponent’s habit - which stance they pick more often in this chat. Change your own favorite: a habit gets read within a couple of duels.
